We try to respond within 2 business days. If your message is time-sensitive (e.g., a serious pest infestation causing health or property damage), please contact a licensed pest management professional directly — we cannot provide urgent assistance.

Pest identification requests

We do not currently offer one-on-one pest identification via email. For reliable identification:

1. Use our Visual ID guides for common household pests
2. Submit photos to BugGuide.net (free, expert-vetted)
3. Contact your state’s Cooperative Extension Service — most offer free pest ID for state residents

Corrections

Spot an error in one of our guides? Please email corrections@bugproofguide.com with:

• The article URL
• The specific claim or section that needs correction
• A source (peer-reviewed study, extension service publication, manufacturer documentation) that contradicts the claim

We review all corrections and update articles when warranted.
